I had my first practical experiences in the clinical psychology field while I was completing my undergraduate studies in my home country, Dominican Republic. I worked alongside other mental health professionals in Dr. Robert Reid Cabral Children´s Hospital, where I assessed and implemented supervised therapeutic interventions
After I obtained my bachelor´s degree, I moved to Spain in order to learn concrete and specialized psychotherapeutic models. I then completed my first Master´s Degree in Systemic Family Therapy. As part of my training, I worked alongside Spanish families in public Mental Health Centers. Since I was also very interested in children and adolescents, I also completed studies in those fields.
During my years of practice I have worked as a School Psychologist, a private clinician, and a University Counsellor.
My areas of interest include Third-wave contextual psychotherapeutic models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness.
